To announce Menace to the world and blow Overyhypes current fanbase away we were briefed to create a high production value teaser trailer.

 

Following the success of Battle Brothers, Overhype & Hooded Horse required a trailer that would get the audience hyped and ravenous to know more. So our aim was to bring a lovingly crafted CGI glimpse into the gritty sci-fi dystopian future portrayed in Menace with exceptional eye for detail & lore. 

 

To build on the suspense and mystery we chose to use strobe cuts, splicing in bizarre scenes of alien flesh as well as unsettling camera movement with ‘long’ lenses and off-grid composition to make the viewer feel unnerved.

 

This trailer garnered over 250k views in a month.
